What living here is really like
Buckingham is Central Bucks at estate scale: preserved farmland, horse country, and low-density neighborhoods spread between crossroads villages rather than around a single downtown. What it lacks in a Main Street it borrows from its neighbors — Doylestown one direction, New Hope the other, and Peddler’s Village right on the township line for dinner and weekend wandering.
Buyers come for Central Bucks East-feeder schools and land you simply cannot get in the boroughs, and they accept full car dependence in exchange. The 202/263/413 triangle makes three commute directions workable, but nothing here is walkable by design — that’s the open-space model the township has spent decades protecting.
