Daily life

What living here is really like

New Britain Borough is the smaller, quieter sibling on the rail line between Chalfont and Doylestown — its own station, its own park system anchored by Covered Bridge Park, and Delaware Valley University’s campus right at its edge. For a borough of its size, the transportation story is unusually strong: train, the 202 Parkway for drives south, and the parkway’s parallel trail for bikes.

Housing is a mix of mid-century single-family streets and newer infill, generally priced a step under Doylestown Borough for the same Central Bucks schools. Butler Avenue carries real through-traffic at rush hour and the university adds rhythm to the school year; both are worth a weekday visit before you commit to a specific block.

trail US 202 Parkway Trail The paved path along the 202 Parkway runs at the borough's doorstep, linking Chalfont to Doylestown by bike.
